Introducing Our 2019-20 Collective Members
Hey, Good Night fans! As we gear up for our final show of the 2018-19 season, Dudes Sing the Divas, we’re eagerly anticipating the launch of season four, debuting this fall in downtown Sioux Falls! (If you haven’t already grabbed your season subscriptions, we highly recommend you get on that post-haste! Here’s a handy link.)
But meanwhile we have an exciting announcement about our upcoming 2019-20 season…
Introducing the Collective
As part of our fourth season, Good Night is introducing some featured players, who you may recognize from past Good Night cabarets or productions, as part of the inaugural class of our official performer “collective.” Our collective functions similarly to a company or troupe—it’s comprised of former guest artists who have gone above and beyond, have a notable tenure with the organization, strive to live out Good Night’s mission and values and show consistent support and physical presence for their fellow actors and to the company as a whole.
Our first three inductees happen to exemplify this to a tee—from front-of-house volunteering to cheering on fellow guest artists to spreading their appreciation for Good Night to others. And all of them have been performing with the organization since our very first season.
Larissa Buchholz
Making her Good Night debut back in season one as part of the cast of the Screen Queens Cabaret, Larissa has been a major part of the company’s roster ever since. She’s been a cabaret fixture in events like Miscast: A Broadway Cabaret, A Very Merry Cabaret and most recently the world-premier production, Daytime: A Soap Opera Musical.
Maren Engel
Good Night fans know Maren very well—she was our first-ever guest artist at the debut GNTC performance in 2016, Twisted: A Miscast Cabaret. Since then she’s been a staple on the ICON stage, having brought her talents to Romance + Revenge: A Valentine’s Cabaret, A Very Merry Cabaret, the LiRa Dance Theatre Company performance of Moulin Rouge and, most recently, The Heroes & Villains Cabaret.
Jess Johannsen
Another frequent and talented collaborator of The Good Night Theatre Collective, Jess has lent her considerable vocal abilities to our performances since her season-one debut in The Throwback Thursday Cabaret. Since then, she’s brought her performing chops to David & Lucy: A New Musical, The One-Hit Wonders Cabaret, The British Invasion Cabaret and, most recently, The Heroes & Villains Cabaret.
